HHH

What this site does not do

It does not set cookies, except one that remembers a circle member's own sign-in, and only after they sign in. It does not run analytics, advertising, fingerprinting, or any tracking script. It does not guess where you are or whether you are online; presence here is set by hand by the person it belongs to. It does not send anything you write to a machine, and no machine answers here. It does not rank anything, recommend anything, or build a feed. It does not sell, share, or train on what you type. It does not have a sign-up page: everyone enters through a person who vouches for them and a second person who confirms. It does not let any one person remove another; leaving is yours, removal takes the circle. It does not pretend a machine's words are a person's: every answer says who made it and in what share, and here that share is always a person's. It does not make pictures or video with a machine; those requests go to a person.

What it does keep: desk questions and their answers (the asker is never named), and members' presence and vouches. What it sends away: nothing. The machine plumbing behind this site exists so that a machine, elsewhere, can ask a trusted person instead of guessing; it is not switched on for visitors, and when it is, it will say so on the page.
